ちょっとした登りが苦でないならば、草千里に来たならこの展望所に上がってみることをお勧めします。

If you’re up for a short climb, we highly recommend visiting the observation deck during your stay at Kusasenri.

そこには草千里の草原や噴煙を上げる阿蘇中岳の素晴らしいパノラマの景色が待っていますよ。

From the top, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning panoramic view of the Kusasenri Meadow and the smoking Aso Nakadake Volcano.

よく晴れた日には熊本市内やその先の長崎県の雲仙岳まで見渡せることもあります。

On clear days, you can even see as far as Kumamoto City and Mount Unzen, Nagasaki.

展望所に上がる階段のうち一つは工事中です。火山博物館向かって左の階段をご利用ください。

Please note: One of the stairways is currently under construction. Please use the stairs on the left side when facing the Volcano Museum.
