お正月に阿蘇へ帰省される方も多い季節ですね。
阿蘇観光の定番スポット「草千里ヶ浜」ですが、実は訪れる時間帯によって快適さが大きく変わります。

Kusasenri is one of the most popular sightseeing spots in Aso, but the time you visit makes a big difference.

シーズン中の9時〜17時のデイタイムは、駐車場に入れず長時間待たされることも多く、駐車待ちの渋滞が発生しがちです。このお正月も、阿蘇山周辺では混雑が予想されています。

During the peak season, especially between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m, the parking lot frequently becomes full, and long lines of cars may cause traffic jams. Heavy traffic around Aso mountain is expected again over the  New Year holidays, so visitors are encouraged to plan ahead.

そこでおすすめなのが、早朝または夕刻の時間帯。

帰省先でご家族が朝食や夕食の準備をしている間に、ふらっと山上まで足を延ばしてみるのも良いかもしれません。阿蘇市内からであれば、草千里まではおおよそ30分以内で到着できます。

We recommend visiting early in the morning or in the evening.

While your family is preparing breakfast or dinner, you could take a short trip up the mountain. From Aso City, it takes about 30 minutes to reach Kusasenri.

冬の阿蘇は空気が澄み、時間帯によっては幻想的な景色に出会えることも。

ただし、路面の凍結には十分ご注意ください。安全第一で、冬の阿蘇をお楽しみくださいね。
